Short Camel Treks

Camels are amazing creatures whose importance to the Bedouin cannot be understated. Experiencing a Camel ride is to taste Bedouin life for yourself and to perhaps gain some insight into these wonderful animals. We have many options for Camels treks from short tasters to full immersion. This page gives all the details of our short camel treks.

Many Englishmen have written about camels. When I open a book and see the familiar disparagement, the well-worn humour, I realize that the author's knowledge of them is slight, that he has never lived among the Bedu, who know the camel's worth: 'Ata Allah', or 'God's gift', they call her, and it is her patience that wins the Arab's heart. I have never seen a Bedu strike or ill-treat a camel. Always the camel's needs come first. It is not only that the Bedu's existence depends upon the welfare of his animals, but that he has a real affection for them.

Sunrise Camel Trek: 1 hour: 35JD p.p

This tour must start and finish from our camp - Wadi Rum Sky. This isn't an option for day visitors or guests sleeping at other camps.

Before breakfast you head out from the camp by camel. Dawn is arguably one of the most beautiful but most missed 'sites' in Wadi Rum. The quiet and peaceful desert takes on a starting beauty at dawn. Enjoy the moment with your guide and camels before returning to the camp for breakfast.

PAYMENT MUST BE MADE IN CASH BEFORE DEPARTURE.

There are no ATM's in Wadi Rum.

I love welcoming my visitors to discover Wadi Rum, a spectacular desert you'll remember for a lifetime.
